Job summary

Wishbone, launced by Lucas Collective in Melbourne, seeks an Assistant Head Sommelier to lead the wine program and guest experiences from day one of opening. You will work with senior wine leadership to shape service standards, stock and guest interactions in a high-energy, weekend-heavy environment.

Ideal candidates demonstrate extensive wine knowledge, proven leadership of top teams, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience as an Assistant Head Sommelier.
• Extensive knowledge of wine (new and old world).
• Passion for the wine industry with a client-focused approach.
• Strong management practices and team leadership.
• Experience leading teams and exceeding targets.
• Exceptional service skills and guest focus.
• Stock control and inventory management experience is advantageous.
• Up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
• Abilities to build effective relationships and manage time.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Full-time availability including weekends and holidays.
• WSET certification or similar is highly regarded.
• Victorian RSA certificate.
