Job summary

Wishbone's opening team in Melbourne is seeking a passionate Sommelier to provide exceptional wine service, manage cellar operations and craft memorable guest experiences. You’ll work closely with Lucas Collective’s wine leadership to elevate the wine program across the venue.

This hands-on role requires extensive wine knowledge, a genuine passion for hospitality and the ability to perform in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Sommelier in a quality or premium dining environment.
Strong knowledge of New and Old World wines.
Genuine passion for wine and hospitality.
Exceptional guest service and wine presentation skills.
Strong communication, organisation and time management.
Knowledge of cellar, stock and inventory management.
Keeps up to date with wine and industry trends.
Adaptable and confident in high-pressure service.
Ability to build strong relationships with guests and team members.
WSET or similar qualification highly regarded.
Victorian RSA certificate.
Full-time availability, including weekends, public holidays and opening/closing shifts.
