Job summary

The Department of Education in Victoria seeks a strategic Manager for the Teaching and Leadership Excellence Division to drive high-impact professional learning for teachers and leaders across sectors. You will lead the program design, oversee a high-performing team and partner with internal and external stakeholders to translate evidence into practice.

You will guide portfolio delivery, ensure quality standards, and foster continuous improvement across the Academy’s professional learning

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in the end-to-end management of professional learning programs or training (capabilities)
• Advanced project and program management capabilities
• Strong people leadership and team management experience
• Demonstrated ability to set strategy, drive improvement and deliver outcomes
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic design, development and continuous improvement of the Middle Leadership unit.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team delivering a subset of the Academy's professional learning programs and projects.
• Provide strategic advice on program direction, processes, and delivery models to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement, contracts and partnerships with external providers.
• Build partnerships to support innovation and system-wide impact.
• Monitor program performance, risks and outcomes to ensure alignment with strategy and priorities.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and resolve complex issues.
