Job summary

Matrix Education in Australia is seeking a Mathematics Faculty Lead to own health, performance and reputation across campuses. You will build a team of Team Leads, teachers, and senior tutors, and maintain authority over curriculum standards and academic direction.

You will lead recruitment partnerships, coach educators, and ensure exam materials and assessments meet high Matrix quality standards while driving student success and retention.

Qualifications

• Deep subject-matter expertise with credible teaching background
• Experience developing educator teams and handling performance conversations
• Ability to interpret student analytics and SEQ data

Responsibilities

• Set pedagogical standards across campuses for consistent delivery
• Develop scalable coaching model for senior teachers and team leads
• Partner with People and Culture on talent acquisition and alumni engagement
• Maintain a culture with high casual teacher performance and retention
• Teach at least three hours a week to stay connected to students
• Monitor Course Health analytics to catch disengaged cohorts early
• Sign off on major curriculum architecture and exam materials
• Drive strategic academic direction and represent the faculty to other teams
