Job summary

State Library of New South Wales is seeking a dynamic Head of Learning to lead the development and delivery of high-quality learning programs for K-12 students, teachers, families and lifelong learners. The role focuses on expanding reach through creative partnerships and community initiatives across NSW.

The successful candidate will manage a responsive learning team, collaborate with external partners, and drive innovative programs that bring the Library’s unique collections to life.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in leading development and delivery of creative learning programs.
• Experience delivering learning programs in schools or cultural organisations.
• Ability to build partnerships and manage learning projects across NSW.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Learning Branch in line with branch objectives and SLNSW plan.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with educational, cultural and community organisations.
• Conceptualise and oversee syllabus linked online learning activities using the Library’s collections.
• Plan and resource onsite and on-tour learning programs across NSW.
• Enhance lifelong learning programs including fee-based offerings.
• Liaise with curriculum authorities and stakeholders to ensure relevant programs.
• Manage the Learning Branch budget, revenue generation and sponsorship.
• Provide team leadership, set objectives and coach staff.
