Job summary

The University of Newcastle invites an experienced professional to lead the Library's Collections and Experience at Callaghan Campus. As Associate Director you will shape strategy across archives, special collections, and audience engagement, directing digital initiatives and exhibitions.

You will manage a skilled team, partner with students and researchers, and drive programs that connect people with the Library’s resources and cultural assets in a dynamic higher education environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and delivery of the Library's Collections and Experience portfolio.
• Provide leadership for collection development, collection stewardship, archives, special collections, and the delivery of engaging user experiences.
• Develop and deliver a unified program of exhibitions, events, student wellbeing initiatives, communications, promotions, social media, and digital engagement activities.
• Oversee the library's communications and advocacy to strengthen awareness, engagement, and support for collections and services.
