Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking a Head of IT to lead the ICT strategy, security governance and technology delivery across the organisation. You will manage ICT infrastructure, policy development, budgeting and vendor relationships while guiding a high‑performing team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires senior IT leadership experience, executive communication and strong knowledge of information security. Based at our Yatala, Queensland facility with strong safety commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, business administration or related field.
• Proven experience managing ICT systems in complex environments with emphasis on information security.
• Executive communication and influencing skills demonstrated in senior roles.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior IT leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, hardware, software and applications, plus security standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an ICT strategy aligned with organisational goals and security standards.
• Identify ICT needs and provide secure solutions meeting requirements.
• Oversee design, implementation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure with risk and budget focus.
• Lead ICT governance, budgeting, procurement, and vendor management.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the ICT team and ensure policy compliance.
• Report on ICT operations, projects and security incidents.
• Shape the organisation's AI strategy with governance for privacy and compliance.
• Collaborate with HR to grow the Gilmour Space team as required.
