Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies, located in Yatala, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead a small team and oversee the design, maintenance, and improvement of our in-house rocket design and manufacturing facilities. You will coordinate facilities services, manage budgets, and collaborate with senior leadership on site expansions and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar Facilities Manager role.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lead a small team.
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and development of a small team of Facilities staff
• Management of cleaning/janitorial services
• Management of waste collection services
• Collaboration with senior management team in locating and selecting new facilities as needed
• Selection and ordering of furniture/desks/chairs/etc for our facilities
• Development of preventative maintenance schedules for all serviceable facilities equipment (HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, roller doors, etc.)
• Coordination with contractors as needed to solve facilities related issues and make facilities related upgrades (Electricians, Plumbers, Dry-Wallers, etc.)
• Developing CAD models and/or layouts of our facilities
• Assistance in designing spaces that facilitate efficient collaboration between our staff
