Gilmour Space is seeking a Head of IT to lead the ICT strategy, information security, and governance for our Australian space tech operations. The role will drive budgeting, procurement, and cross‑functional collaboration with R&D and management teams.

You will oversee the ICT team, ensure compliance with security standards, and shape the organisation's AI roadmap while maintaining rigorous risk management and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, cyber security, business admin or related field.
• Proven experience leading ICT systems with emphasis on information security.
• Strong executive communication and influencing skills.
• Minimum of 5 years in a senior IT leadership position.
• Deep knowledge of ICT infrastructure, hardware, software, and security standards.

• Develop and implement an ICT strategy aligned to organisational goals and security best practices.
• Lead ICT governance and ensure accountability for information security risk and compliance.
• Oversee design, procurement, and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, budget, and projects.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the ICT team and ensure policy compliance.
• Direct ICT procurement, vendor management, and reporting on ICT operations and incidents.
• Shape and govern the organisation's AI strategy and capability roadmap with security oversight.
