Kent Consumer Brands APAC, part of the Kent Worldwide Finance Leadership Team in Australia, seeks Head of Financial Control. You will oversee core finance, accounting, controls, and regulatory compliance, delivering timely financial information to guide strategic decisions.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, develop systems with IT to drive automation, coach the team, and partner with APAC senior management to lift performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core finance and accounting requirements with full policy and regulatory compliance
• Provide financial leadership through business partnering and decision support to APAC senior management
• Lead financial reporting and analysis of financial and non-financial indicators with FLT members
• Oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Develop and enhance business management systems and processes (including process automation) with IT support
• Coach and lead the finance team to align with Kent Worldwide Values and strengthen internal controls

Job description

The Head of Financial Control is a key member of the Kent Consumer Brands APAC Finance Leadership Team and has overall responsibility for:

• Delivering the core finance and accounting requirements for the business, ensuring full compliance with group policies and external regulations, ensuring adequate controls are in place to safeguard the assets of the business and providing accurate, timely and meaningful information to assist in strategic and operational business decisions
• Partnering, challenging and supporting with the APAC senior management team and broader organization providing financial leadership through effective business partnering and decision support aimed at lifting overall business performance
• Financial and management reporting and analysis of financial and non-financial indicators in conjunction with other FLT members impacting overall performance
• Planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver the core finance and accounting requirements for the business, ensuring the provision of timely and accurate financial information, full compliance with group policies and external regulations, effective internal controls are in place to safeguard the assets of the business and providing the appropriate financial leadership to ensure the business is well equipped to meet its ongoing performance objectives.

The role requires the development, management and ongoing enhancement of appropriate business management systems, processes and disciplines (including process automation), with support from the broader finance and IT team, that supports the objectives of KCB APAC.

A key responsibility extends to the development of budgets / forecasts and associated performance targets, the monitoring of progress against these targets and performance of the business in general. The Head of Financial Control will provide financial leadership, advice and support to operational management and actively support the CFO to improve overall visibility of financial performance.

This role will provide coaching, leadership and support to their team and the broader finance team that is consistent with Kent Worldwide Values to ensure every individual is contributing to and takes part in the organizational success of KCB APAC.

The role will also have a strong functional link within the broader Kent Worldwide finance organization to ensure that the business operates within the appropriate corporate policies that are applied and adhered to under a continuous improvement culture.
