Job summary

Susquehanna International Group, LLP is seeking a senior APAC Financial Controller to own financial control, statutory reporting, and tax across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, India and China. You will lead the APAC accounting team, liaise with auditors and regulators, and partner with trading desks and business leaders on budgeting and performance.

Qualifications

• Degree and postgraduate professional qualification (CPA/CA) in Finance or Accounting.
• 10–15 years post-qualification experience across APAC, with leadership of a finance/accounting team.
• Proven ownership of statutory financial reporting, tax compliance and external audit relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
• Financial services experience is essential (e.g., prop trading, banking, asset management).
• Knowledge of IFRS and APAC reporting standards (AASB, HKFRS, GAAP variants) is required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems; interest in automation or coding (Python/VBA) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own financial control, statutory reporting and tax outcomes for APAC entities.
• Lead and develop the APAC accounting team and support capability development.
• Oversee statutory reporting and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Act as key contact for auditors, tax advisers, authorities and regulators.
• Partner with trading desks and regional leaders on budgeting and performance.
• Maintain strong financial controls and enhance processes, reporting, and governance.
• Lead cross-border finance initiatives across entities and time zones.
• Drive automation and improvements across finance systems and tools.
