Job summary

Page Group Australia partners with a leading international services group to appoint a CFO, APAC, based in Canberra. The role spans finance, IT and operations, delivering FP&A, governance, treasury, and capital allocation across entities with a focus on scalable processes and transformation.

You will drive APAC financial strategy, partner with senior leaders, and steer asset management and cash flow across asset-intensive sectors, with CA/CPA/MBA preferred and extensive multi-site experience.

Description

As CFO, APAC, you will provide strategic, commercial, and operational financial leadership across a diversified portfolio of businesses. Leading finance, IT and operations, you will oversee financial planning and analysis, reporting, governance, treasury, working capital, capital allocation, and business performance across multiple operating entities and jurisdictions. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you will influence strategic decision‑making, support growth initiatives, optimise asset performance, and drive financial discipline throughout the organisation. This role will also play a critical part in finance transformation, systems modernisation, organisational design, and the delivery of scalable processes that support future expansion.

As CFO, you will:

• Lead the APAC financial strategy, ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives while supporting sustainable growth and profitability.
• Drive financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, treasury, governance, and risk management across a complex multi‑entity environment.
• Oversee capital allocation, investment evaluation, asset performance, and commercial decision‑making to maximise returns and operational efficiency.
• Champion finance transformation initiatives, including systems enhancement, process optimisation, organisational redesign, and the development of best‑practice reporting and analytical capabilities.

You are a commercially astute finance executive who combines strategic thinking with operational execution. You possess the gravitas to influence senior stakeholders, the analytical capability to simplify complex business challenges, and the leadership skills to build engaged, high‑performing teams. Most importantly, you thrive in environments where growth, transformation, and value creation are at the centre of the agenda.

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline, with CA, CPA, or MBA qualifications highly regarded.
• Significant executive finance leadership experience gained within asset‑intensive sectors such as industrial services, mining services, infrastructure, engineering, equipment rental, manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.
• Demonstrated success leading finance functions across complex, multi‑site, or multi‑entity businesses with responsibility for both strategy and execution.
• Proven experience driving finance transformation, ERP implementation, reporting modernisation, organisational redesign, and operational improvement initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in financial planning, capital allocation, asset management, cash flow optimisation, governance, and business partnering.
• Track record of building, mentoring, and leading high‑performing finance teams in fast‑paced and evolving environments.
• Early career experience within a Big Four or leading professional services firm will be viewed favourably.
