Job summary

University of Queensland in Brisbane seeks a Principal Digital Modelling Officer to lead the Digital Modelling Office and shape how built-environment information is created, governed and used across a large property portfolio.

You will bring hands-on BIM and digital engineering expertise and provide strategic leadership to a specialist team, collaborating with senior leaders, project teams, consultants and contractors to improve the quality and value of property information across capital

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline with extensive experience or equivalent combination of education and management expertise.
• Demonstrated experience leading a significant digital modelling, built-environment information function in a complex organisation.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD with modern BIM, CAD and digital engineering practices.
• Experience developing and maintaining BIM/CAD standards, handover processes and governance for information management.
• Experience QA, model validation and integration of built-environment information with asset/operational systems.
• Ability to lead staff, set priorities, manage workloads, and guide teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the University’s digital modelling and built-environment information management function, establishing priorities and service plans.
• Develop and improve BIM, CAD standards, governance and information-management practices.
• Oversee QA, validation, integration and maintenance of drawings, maps and digital models for operational use.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and lead staff and technology initiatives.
