Job summary

The University of Queensland (UQ) is seeking a Principal Digital Modelling Officer at the St Lucia campus to lead its Digital Modelling Office. This full-time, continuing role directs BIM and built-environment information management across our asset portfolio, shaping standards and governance for smarter asset decisions.

Base salary ranges from A$120,317 to A$134,893 plus 17% super. You will mentor a specialist team, collaborate with senior leaders, project teams, consultants and contractors,

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in a relevant discipline and extensive subsequent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and management expertise.
• Demonstrated experience leading a significant digital modelling or built-environment information function in a complex organisation.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM/CAD standards, governance and information-management practices.
• Experience leading staff, setting priorities and guiding teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Lead the digital modelling and built-environment information management function, establishing priorities, service plans and resource strategies.
• Develop and continuously improve BIM/CAD standards, policies, governance, and workflows.
• Oversee QA, validation and integration of drawings, floor plans, maps and digital models for operational use.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and guide staff through technological change.
