Job summary

All Hallows’ School in Brisbane is seeking an experienced educational leader to join as Head of Curriculum and Academic Quality. This newly created Tier 5 middle leadership role blends classroom teaching with oversight of curriculum implementation, monitoring, quality assurance and continuous improvement across Years 5–12.

Working under the Dean of Teaching and Learning, you will collaborate with Heads of Department, the Head of Primary and other staff to advance teaching and learning, ensuring

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a teacher and educational leader delivering school-wide improvement.
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, moderation and QA processes.
• Ability to interpret achievement data for planning.
• Commitment to Catholic and Mercy ethos.

Responsibilities

• Support the Dean to develop and monitor strategic teaching priorities across Years 5–12.
• Lead curriculum review, documentation, implementation and evaluation across Years 5–12.
• Collaborate with Heads of Department, Head of Primary and Curriculum Leaders.
• Lead whole-school moderation to ensure consistency of teacher judgement and QA compliance.
• Address classroom behaviour, academic integrity and assessment authenticity.
• Oversee review of assessment design in response to AI and emerging technologies.
• Perform classroom teaching duties commensurate with the role.
