Schoolhouse in Brisbane's Western corridor invites applications for the Dean of Academics, the Head of Department – English, responsible for the curriculum and pedagogical leadership of the English faculty within the Secondary School. Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Education).
Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or eligible to obtain one prior to commencement.
Ability and desire to actively support the values and ethos of the school.
Motivation and a passion to work with and support young people on their journey through secondary education.

Responsibilities

Lead the curriculum and pedagogical leadership of the English faculty within the Secondary School.
Provide strategic and instructional leadership to improve student outcomes in English.
Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture among the English department.
