Job summary

Nillumbik Shire Council is seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to join our team as Manager Creative and Connected Communities. Qualifications

• Significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams and strategic projects.
• Experience developing and evaluating community strategies, service models and frameworks.
• Proven ability to build strategic partnerships with government, community organisations, education providers and funding bodies.
• Strong understanding of governance, funding programs and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the Community Development and Learning and Arts, Culture and Events departments.
• Lead, develop and support high-performing teams with accountability and customer-focused service delivery.
• Oversee planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of community programs and development initiatives.
• Lead development and implementation of strategies, policies and service models that strengthen participation and lifelong learning.
• Monitor legislative, policy, demographic and funding trends and provide strategic advice to Council.
• Ensure governance, financial management, risk management, compliance and stakeholder engagement across all service areas.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, educational institutions, community organisations and internal stakeholders.
