Job summary

Peninsula Australia seeks a seasoned Head of Compliance & Risk to design and continuously improve the company’s compliance program and risk frameworks, with a strong focus on sales and marketing processes. You will ensure alignment with regulatory requirements while supporting customer acquisition and go-to-market strategies.

You will lead and develop a team, engage with stakeholders, and embed robust controls across the organisation, reporting to the Board on compliance performance and risk

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading and developing compliance teams.
• 5+ years in a compliance role, including B2C.
• Strategic yet hands-on in delivering objectives.
• Experience embedding compliance and risk controls.
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building.
• Continuous improvement mindset and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Lead and upskill the Compliance and Risk team whilst ensuring timely completion of all compliance and risk tasks and reporting.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders and business units to develop a strong compliance and risk culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop, uplift and embed compliance and risk frameworks across the broader organisation.
• Facilitate compliance and risk workshops and training sessions.
• Report to the Board on adherence to Compliance processes.

As Head of Compliance & Risk, you will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Peninsula’s compliance program and risk frameworks, with a strong focus on sales and marketing processes. This role is critical in ensuring that customer acquisition, promotional practices and go-to-market strategies are in alignment with regulatory requirements.

What will you be doing?

• Lead and upskill the Compliance and Risk team whilst ensuring the timely completion of all compliance and risk tasks and reporting.
• Proactively engage with stakeholders and business units to develop a strong compliance and risk culture and develop initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
• Develop, uplift and embed compliance and risk frameworks across the broader organisation.
• Facilitate compliance and risk workshops and training sessions.
• Report to the Board on adherence to Compliance processes.

What will you bring?

• 3+ years experience in leading, managing and developing compliance teams
• 5+ years in a Compliance role with at least part of that time in business to consumer roles
• An ability to be both strategic and hands-on in delivering objectives
• Extensive experience developing, embedding and advising on compliance and risk obligations, processes & controls
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trust and establish strong relationships across disciplines.
• A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to demonstrate high levels of initiative
