Woolworths Group is seeking a Head of Supplementary Sourcing & Trading in Sydney. This senior leadership role oversees the end-to-end boxed meat sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, and cross-functional collaboration to optimise purchasing and drive competitive outcomes.

You will lead a high-performing team within E2E Meat, balance livestock utilisation and export opportunities, and coach suppliers on procurement methodologies while maintaining quality and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in procurement and sourcing.
• Proven ability to craft and deliver strategic sourcing plans.
• Deep knowledge of protein markets and meat supply chains.
• Strong data-driven decision-making and analytics.
• Excellent stakeholder management across functions and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute Woolworths' boxed meat sourcing strategy using market insights.
• Cultivate partnerships with suppliers and coach procurement methodologies.
• Set robust product specs with Quality and Livestock teams to balance cost and quality.
• Collaborate with Planning, B2B, and Export to balance livestock utilisation and opportunities.
• Lead demand consensus forums and validate inventory and timing with cross-functional teams.
• Design processes to capture real-time market insights to inform tactics.
• Lead the Operations Services team to ensure flawless inventory, order management and logistics.
• Develop and coach a high-performing team aligned to operational excellence.
