Job summary

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
• Professional procurement qualifications (e.g. CIPS) will be highly regarded.
• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or sales within meat/food sectors.
• Strong knowledge of raw meat specs, yields, grading, and quality.
• Ability to model costs and forecast supply and demand.
• Proven ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive outcomes.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder negotiation skills.
• Advanced Excel and data reporting skills.
• Experience with HACCP, GMP, traceability and regulatory labelling.

Responsibilities

• Manage raw meat procurement across internal and external channels to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
• Develop supplier strategies, negotiate contracts, monitor markets, and optimise total cost of ownership.
• Drive supplier and internal performance via data-driven analysis of yields and quality.
• Provide procurement forecasting and reporting to support production planning and budgeting.
• Collaborate with NPD and Quality to align material specs with product development and food safety standards.
