Job summary

Senior BIM Coordinator position in Brisbane's south, for one of Australia's leading electrical contractors. You will act as technical lead for BIM coordination across major electrical projects, ensuring models are accurate, coordinated and construction ready from design through to build.

Based in Underwood, you will mentor junior staff, drive BIM standards, manage clashes and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams to deliver successful outcomes. Salary $135k–$140k+ Super.

Qualifications

• Experience as BIM Coordinator on major Australian construction projects.
• Strong electrical or MEP services experience.
• Advanced Revit MEP and AutoCAD capability.
• Strong Navisworks coordination experience.
• Experience delivering projects to LOD400.
• Excellent stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver models to LOD400 and construction standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary models using Navisworks.

About the Company

Our client is one of Australia's leading electrical contractors, delivering some of the country's most complex commercial, infrastructure and government projects. Their portfolio includes major hospitals, Defence facilities, data centres, transport infrastructure and large commercial developments.

Due to continued project wins across Queensland, they are seeking an experienced Senior BIM Coordinator to join their team in South Brisbane.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a modelling role. You'll become the technical lead for BIM coordination across major electrical projects, ensuring models are accurate, coordinated and construction ready throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you'll oversee BIM workflows, coordinate multidisciplinary models, manage clash detection and help drive project outcomes from design through to construction.

You'll also play an important role mentoring junior BIM staff and continuously improving BIM standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You’ll already be recognised as a capable BIM Coordinator who enjoys solving technical problems and working on large, complex projects.

• Experience as a BIM Coordinator on major Australian construction projects
• Strong electrical or MEP services experience
• Advanced Revit MEP and AutoCAD capability
• Strong Navisworks coordination experience
• Experience delivering projects to LOD400
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• The confidence to work autonomously while mentoring junior team members
