Job summary

Chainguard seeks a Manager of Business Development to lead a growing BDR team, hire and onboard new BDRs, and drive outbound prospecting, qualification, and pipeline generation. You will coach through weekly 1:1s, align with Demand Gen and Sales, and refine messaging with Marketing/Sales/Product to improve win rates.

Your leadership will shape the BDR function and help hit pipeline targets in a remote-first, international setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leading a team of BDRs (Cybersecurity, DevSecOps, Infrastructure, OSS strongly preferred)
• Experience with funnel management across multiple channels and focuses
• Hands-on enablement experience in onboarding and learning & development
• Experience with sales and marketing tools, including CRM platforms, lead generation software, and AI tools
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions
• Proven ability to recruit, hire, and train new people
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Located in the APJ region

Responsibilities

• Continue to build out our growing BDR function, hiring and onboarding top talent
• Develop the team’s outbound prospecting, qualification, and opportunity creation skills
• Provide ongoing coaching in weekly 1:1s to drive performance
• Collaborate with Demand Gen to optimize MQLs and campaigns
• Work with Sales to refine outbound strategies and qualification processes
• Collaborate with Marketing/Sales/Product on messaging for target accounts
• Align with Sales leadership on strategy, coverage, personas and hand-offs
• Forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly attainment
• Monitor KPIs to boost BDR productivity
