Job summary

Hamilton Barnes, an established Australian technology and services group, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead the next stage of growth, with a focus on AI, ICT and cybersecurity advisory solutions.

The ideal candidate will act as a true player-coach, owning the Group's sales function, driving profitable revenue growth, guiding an established sales team, and staying hands-on with major strategic opportunities and senior customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading sales teams within technology, ICT, managed services or a related B2B environment.
• Strong experience selling advisory-led technology solutions, particularly AI/ICT/technology or cybersecurity.
• Proven track record of leading and developing a team of approximately 5–20 sales professionals.
• Strong consultative and solution-selling experience.
• Comfortable engaging with senior executives.
• Experience growing recurring revenue, projects and managed services.
• Strong understanding of forecasting, pipeline management, CRM and sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Own Group sales, gross profit and recurring revenue targets.
• Develop and execute the Group's sales strategy and growth plans.
• Lead, coach and develop the existing sales team.
• Establish strong forecasting, pipeline management and CRM discipline.
• Personally support and influence major and complex customer opportunities.
• Build relationships with CEOs, CIOs, CFOs and other senior stakeholders.
• Drive growth across AI, ICT & technology advisory, and cybersecurity & compliance.
• Develop cross-selling opportunities across the broader portfolio.
• Improve sales processes, performance management and accountability.
• Work closely with Technology, Operations and Finance to ensure opportunities are commercially viable and deliverable.
• Recruit and develop additional sales talent as the business grows.
