Job summary

Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Camperdown, Sydney, seeks a research professional to lead the end-to-end management of head and neck cancer clinical trials. This is a 12-month maximum term opportunity offering exposure to a multidisciplinary team and meaningful patient-focused outcomes.

The role focuses on site setup, ethics submissions, recruitment coordination, data integrity, and compliance with ICH-GCP standards, with opportunities to support grant applications and academic outputs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing clinical trials within an oncology or specialist hospital environment.
• Sound knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, TGA requirements, and HREC processes.
• Proven ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiation and medical oncologists.
• Experience with clinical trial management systems and research governance frameworks.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage concurrent protocols without compromising data quality.
• A tertiary qualification in a health science, nursing, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end lifecycle of head and neck clinical trials, from site set-up and ethics submissions through to close-out and reporting.
• Acting as the primary liaison between investigators, sponsors, and regulatory bodies to ensure protocol compliance and audit readiness.
• Coordinating patient recruitment, consent processes, and data integrity in alignment with ICH-GCP standards.
• Supporting new trial submissions and contributing to grant applications and academic outputs.
