Job summary

Ayers Rock Resort in Uluru is seeking an experienced Hotel Head Chef to lead the Desert Gardens Hotel kitchen and its 20-chef brigade. You will oversee all daily food production, ensure top-quality menus, and drive sustainable and profitable outlets in a remote, culturally rich setting.

The role requires a minimum of five years as Head Chef, a Certificate IV in Culinary Arts or equivalent, and strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-cultural collaboration skills to deliver exceptional culinary

Qualifications

Five years of experience as Hotel Head Chef.
Experience in 5-star hotels.
Customer & supplier relationship skills.
Budget management and financial awareness.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
Lead by example in a cross-cultural environment.
Knowledge of native Australian ingredients.
Hands-on cooking passion.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily food production and operations for Desert Gardens Hotel's Kitchen and its 20-chef brigade.
Lead and mentor kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
Ensure consistency, safety, and sanitation across outlets.
Collaborate with procurement to manage costs and supplier relationships.
