Job summary

Arcare Logan Reserve is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations of a 91-bed residence, delivering nutritious meals while upholding high safety and quality standards.

You will design menus, supervise staff, manage inventory and budget, and collaborate with dietitians to meet residents’ dietary needs. This is a fixed-term, full-time 6-month contract based at the Logan Reserve site.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) required.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certification required.
• Adaptability and collaborative leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Menu planning: design nutritious, diverse menus for residents with dietary needs.
• Food preparation: cook meals using fresh ingredients following safety protocols.
• Quality control: ensure meals meet taste, appearance and portion standards; adjust by resident feedback.
• Inventory & budget management: monitor stock and source ingredients cost-effectively.
• Nutritional analysis: collaborate with dietitians to ensure well-balanced meals.
