Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT - Aged Care in Menangle, NSW is seeking a dedicated Facility Cook to lead a kitchen team and deliver meals that delight residents. The role focuses on quality, safety and engaging with residents to design menus that reflect local flavours and favourites.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Commercial Cookery qualification (e.g., Cert III).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience cooking in aged care, hotel or restaurant settings.
• Demonstrated HACCP knowledge and safe food handling practices.
• Proven ability to lead a team and foster a values-based culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to a kitchen team in a busy aged care setting.
• Assist in menu design with residents, incorporating local flavours and favourites.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, safety and presentation at all times.
• Act as Head Chef when senior chefs are away and mentor junior staff.
