Job summary

Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co is opening a new Perth CBD venue at Brookfield Place and is seeking a Head Chef to build the kitchen from the ground up with day-one ownership.

You’ll lead by example, manage a brand-new team, and partner with our Executive Chef to deliver elevated pub menus, control costs, and ensure smooth service Monday to Saturday. This is a launch role with strong growth potential in a WA-focused beverage manufacturing and hospitality group.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef or senior chef in a similar venue.
• Leads by example and genuinely enjoys building a strong team.
• Comfortable with the numbers side of things as well as the pass.
• Excited by the challenge of launching a new venue.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and opening our new kitchen, and leading the team day to day.
• Working closely with Front-of-House to deliver a seamless lunch and dinner service.
• Recruiting, rostering, training, and mentoring staff so the team keeps improving.
• Ordering and managing stock, and building good relationships with suppliers.
• Delivering menus developed with our Executive Chef, with room to contribute your ideas.
• Keeping food and labour costs on target.
• Maintaining health, safety, and food handling compliance.
• Running a smooth, well-organised service, especially when it gets busy.
• Maintaining open, respectful communication across the team.

Head Chef: New Perth CBD Venue (Brookfield Place)

Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co has built a workplace around quality, humour, and being genuinely good at what we do. We’re an award-winning WA brewery, and we’re opening our newest venue in the heart of Perth CBD at Brookfield Place in late December 2026. We’re looking for a Head Chef to build the kitchen from the ground up and bring that same standard to every plate.

This is a rare one: a brand new kitchen, brand new equipment, and the chance to make it yours from day one. Think elevated pub food, 24 taps of our beer, and a welcoming place people want to spend time in. You’ll have the guidance and support of our Executive Chef behind you, and the freedom to take real ownership of lunch and dinner service. We trade Monday to Saturday, so your Sundays are your own.

About you:

At least 3 years’ experience as a Head Chef or senior chef in a similar venue
