Job summary

Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co is opening a brand new venue in Perth CBD at Brookfield Place in late December 2026. You will be the Assistant Venue Manager, supporting the Venue Manager to launch and run the new site with 24 taps and partner wines, delivering exceptional hospitality.

You’ll lead shifts, train Front-of-House staff, and help manage rostering, wages, stock, and wastage while delivering great service across lunch and dinner services.

Qualifications

• Experience as supervisor or assistant manager in busy bar, pub or restaurant.
• Current Approved Manager certificate and RSA required.
• Strong leadership to keep team motivated during busy periods.
• Comfortable with rostering, wages, stock control.

Responsibilities

• Assist Venue Manager to open and run the new Perth CBD venue.
• Lead shifts and run venue in Venue Manager’s absence.
• Train, coach and support Front-of-House staff.
• Deliver high standard of service from first pint to last.
• Control wages through rostering and manage stock, ordering and wastage.
• Collaborate with Head Chef and kitchen for lunch and dinner service.
• Drive sales through events, functions and partnerships.
• Ensure liquor licensing, health, safety and compliance.

Assistant Venue Manager: New Perth CBD Venue (Brookfield Place)

Cheeky Monkey Brewing Co has built a workplace around quality, humour, and being genuinely good at what we do. We’re an award-winning WA brewery, and we’re opening our newest venue in the heart of Perth CBD at Brookfield Place in late December 2026. We’re looking for an Assistant Venue Manager to help us launch and keep the whole place running smoothly.

You’ll be the right hand to our Venue Manager in a brand new venue with 24 taps of our beer, wines from our Margaret River neighbours and elevated pub food, serving lunch and dinner. It’s a great chance to be part of a launch, grow your leadership skills and build a career with a WA-focused beverage manufacturing and hospitality group.

About you:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role in a busy bar, pub or restaurant
• A current Approved Manager certificate (essential) and RSA
• A confident, positive leader who keeps the team motivated when it gets busy
• Comfortable with rostering, wages and stock control
• Passionate about hospitality and genuinely good with guests
• Craft beer knowledge is a bonus, and enthusiasm for it is a must

What the role involves:

• Supporting the Venue Manager to open and run our new venue
• Leading shifts and running the venue in the Venue Manager’s absence
• Training, coaching and supporting Front-of-House staff
• Delivering a high standard of service, from the first pint to the last
• Helping control wages through smart rostering, and managing stock, ordering and wastage
• Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team for smooth lunch and dinner service
• Helping drive sales through events, functions and local partnerships
• Keeping on top of liquor licensing, health, safety and compliance
