Job summary

Aston Advantage is seeking an Underground HD Fitter in Cobar, NSW, to maintain, diagnose and repair underground mobile mining equipment. You will work on loaders, haul trucks, graders, and shotcreters, ensuring minimal downtime and safe, efficient operations.

Applicants should have a Heavy Diesel trade, Cert 3 Mobile Plant Technology, at least two years underground experience, and strong fault-finding abilities across hydraulics, pneumatics and electrics.

Qualifications

• Trade (heavy diesel) certification and 2+ years underground mining equipment experience.
• Cert 3 Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent).
• Experience on CAT, Sandvik, Epiroc, Volvo and Normet equipment.
• Strong fault-finding ability; hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose and repair underground mobile mining equipment to minimise downtime and maximise availability.

Underground HD Fitter | Cobar NSW | $170K – $185K + quarterly bonuses, and more

Opportunity: Maintain, diagnose, and repair underground mobile mining equipment, including loaders, haul trucks, graders, and shotcreters, to minimise downtime, maximise equipment availability, and support safe, efficient underground operations.

Experience: Trade (heavy diesel), Cert 3: Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ underground experience working on mining equipment such as CAT, Sandvik, Epiroc, Volvo, and Normet equipment. Strong fault-finding ability + working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
