Job summary

Myndshift Group currently seeks experienced Underground HD Fitters, Mobile Plant Mechanics and Drill Fitters to join underground hard-rock mining operations across Western Australia. Qualified trades with underground maintenance experience who can diagnose faults and service a mixed fleet are urged to apply.

You will perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, fault finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, and work with maintenance teams to minimise downtime and keep

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised heavy mechanical trade qualification.
• Preferably 3-5+ years of post-trade experience with heavy mobile equipment.
• Underground hard-rock mining experience is essential.
• Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc or CAT underground equipment.
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Current Australian manual driver's licence.
• HR licence and OEM training are highly regarded.
• Full Australian Working Rights.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled servicing, preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs across underground mobile plant.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Maintain underground development jumbos, production drills, boggers, trucks and ancillary equipment.
• Carry out component replacements, inspections and major repairs.
• Interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings and OEM service information.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to minimise downtime and maximise fleet availability.
• Complete maintenance documentation and contribute to a strong underground safety culture.

We are currently seeking experienced Underground HD Fitters, Mobile Plant Mechanics and Drill Fitters to join underground hard-rock mining operations throughout Western Australia.
These opportunities suit trade-qualified fitters with strong underground maintenance experience who are confident diagnosing faults, attending breakdowns and maintaining mixed fleets of loaders, trucks, drills and ancillary equipment.
Key responsibilities

• Complete scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs across underground mobile plant.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Maintain underground development jumbos, production drills, boggers, trucks and ancillary equipment.

Experience and requirements

• Australian-recognised heavy mechanical trade qualification, such as Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent.
• Preferably 3-5+ years of post-trade experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment.
• Demonstrated underground hard-rock mining experience is essential.
• Experience with Sandvik, Epiroc or CAT underground equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Current Australian manual driver's licence.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screening, and relevant site clearances.
• Automotive air-conditioning licence, HR licence and OEM training will be highly regarded.
• Full Australian Working Rights

Relevant equipment

• Sandvik DD421, DD422i, DL422i and DL432i development and production drills.
• Sandvik LH517i and LH621i loaders and TH551i and TH663i underground trucks.
• Epiroc Boomer and Simba drills, Scooptram loaders and Minetruck equipment.
• CAT R2900 loaders and AD-series underground trucks.
• Underground integrated toolcarriers, service vehicles and ancillary equipment.
