Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced HD Fitter for a permanent full-time FIFO role in Western Australia, Perth-based site. You will maintain underground mobile equipment, perform servicing and diagnose faults to maximise fleet availability and production targets.

The position offers 8:6 or 7:7 rosters with 12-hour shifts (day and night), excellent facilities, training opportunities, and a strong safety culture within a well-known underground mining operation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel Fitting or related mechanical discipline.
• Experience maintaining underground mining machinery.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).
• Committed to safety and environmental best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and repair the underground mobile fleet (Trucks, Boggers, IT’s, drills).
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and drivetrain faults to minimise downtime.
• Conduct inspections and component change-outs to site standards.
• Perform pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe for operation.
• Record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to limit downtime.

Permanent Full-Time Position | 8:6 or a 7:7 Roster | FIFO Perth | Great Camp | $185K - $195K pa + Super + Site Allowance + Bonus

About our Role

Join our client who is a well-known principal gold producer international as a HD Fitter and support one of their underground mining operation in WA. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering a range of planned underground maintenance activities across our large and diverse fleet of machines and equipment.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of underground mobile equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability in support of production targets, statutory and site-specific standards including cost, safety and environment.

This is a FIFO position & we have 2 rosters available 8:6 or 7:7, working 12-hour shifts – day shifts & night shifts.

What will your day to day look like?

• Maintenance, servicing and repairs on the underground mobile fleet including Trucks, Boggers, IT’s, Normet Agitator vehicles and Drills.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and drivetrain faults to minimise downtime and maintain fleet availability
• Conduct inspections, servicing, and component change-outs to manufacturer and site standards
• Complete pre-start checks and ensure equipment is safe and compliant for operation
• Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or hazards
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimise machine downtime
