Job summary

Visy Global Logistics is seeking a Safety-focused HC/MC licensed driver based in Rooty Hill, NSW, to transport steel products across Sydney and Newcastle regions. You will operate single and B-Double combinations, ensuring load restraint and timely deliveries.

You’ll complete reporting and comply with fatigue laws and company policies, contributing to a modern, safety-driven logistics team. Full-time roles with career progression opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Current HC or MC license with minimum 2 years’ Australian driving experience.
• Proven experience operating Single & B-Double combinations.
• Strong understanding of load restraint guidelines (steel experience preferred but not essential).
• Provide a full 5-year demerit point history report.
• Complete Visy Practical Driver Assessment.
• Excellent communication and time management with safety focus.

• Transport steel products safely with strong load restraint awareness.
• Ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight, adhering to schedules.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and required documentation.

• Adhere to site load restraint guidelines and ensure freight is securely transported.

Visy Global Logistics is entering a major growth phase following the launch of a new national transport partnership with a leading steel manufacturer. This expansion strengthens our national footprint and builds new capability across construction and steel logistics.

Routes: Regular routes include travel from Rooty Hill to Newcastle, as well as deliveries to various customer sites across Sydney and the Newcastle region

What you’ll do:

• Operate Single combinations to transport steel products across key customer sites
• Transport steel products safely with strong awareness of load restraint
• Ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight, maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply withall company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all site load restraint guidelines & policies to ensure freight is securely transported.

What you’ll bring:
