Job summary

Visy Global Logistics in Smithfield, NSW, seeks a professional driver with an HC licence to operate walking floor trucks across NSW Metro and regional areas. Regular AM and PM shifts available, with a focus on safety, on-time pickups and deliveries, and compliant reporting.

You'll contribute to a modern fleet operation, uphold fatigue and load restraint laws, and be part of a team dedicated to reliability, safety and customer outcomes across Australia.

Qualifications

• Valid HC licence with at least 2 years driving experience in Australia.
• Knowledge of walking floor operations is advantageous.
• Understanding of Greater Sydney area traffic and routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate semi walking floor vehicles and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections for roadworthiness and compliance.
• Complete electronic reporting and required documentation accurately.
• Comply with Fatigue Management, Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility rules.

What you’ll do:

• Running Semi Walking Floor combinations
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight, maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.

What you’ll bring:

• A valid HC Licence with 2 years Australian driving experience.
• Experience with Walking floors (advantageous but not necessary)
• Sound knowledge of the Greater Sydney area
• Provide a full 5-year demerit point history report.
• Complete Visy Practical Driver Assessment.
• Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws.
• BFM Certification – or willingness to obtain.
• Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
