Job summary

Visy Logistics in Mayfield, NSW, is seeking an experienced driver to operate Single and B-Double combinations delivering steel across Sydney and Newcastle regions. You’ll maintain load restraints, complete electronic reporting, and meet strict safety, fatigue, and road laws.

Qualifications

• Current HC or MC license with at least 2 years’ Australian driving experience.
• Proven experience operating Single & B-Double combinations.
• Full 5-year demerit point history report required.
• Complete Visy Practical Driver Assessment.
• Excellent communication and time-management; strong safety focus.
• Understand road, fatigue and load restraint laws.
• Pride in presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
• Ability to meet customer compliance KPI standards with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate Single & B-Double combinations to transport steel products across key customer sites.
• Transport steel with proper load restraint and safety awareness.
• Ensure timely pick-up and delivery following schedules.
• Complete electronic reporting and required documentation.
• Comply with company policies and transport regulations, incl. Fatigue Management.
• Follow load restraint guidelines to secure freight.

Routes: Regular routes include local travel, as well as deliveries to various customer sites across Sydney and the Newcastle region.

What you’ll do:

• Operate Single & B-Double combinations to transport steel products across key customer sites
• Transport steel products safely with strong awareness of load restraint
• Ensure timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight, maintaining adherence to schedules.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply withall company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
• Adhere to all site load restraint guidelines & policies to ensure freight is securely transported.

What you’ll bring:

• Current HC or MC license with minimum 2 years’ Australian driving experience
