Job summary

IGroup Consulting, based in Epping, Victoria, is seeking an experienced Hardware Technician for a full-time position with a salary of AUD 80,000–85,000 plus super. The role covers diagnosing hardware and software issues, network setup, and proactive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.

The successful candidate will configure, install, and maintain enterprise hardware, work with vendors, and document changes. Minimum four years in a corporate hardware environment required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience as a hardware technician.
• Experience configuring and maintaining enterprise servers and racks.
• Experience with structured cabling and network peripherals.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Experience with firmware upgrades and security hardening.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing hardware and software issues to provide effective solutions.
• Responding to user inquiries and resolving hardware/software problems promptly.
• Installing and configuring software applications and operating systems on computers and devices.
• Setting up and maintaining computer networks including routers and switches.
• Repairing and replacing peripheral equipment as needed.
• Performing preventive maintenance on computer hardware.
• Collaborating with vendors to source hardware and software solutions.
• Documenting hardware and software configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
