Job summary

Fettlers Hall in Elsternwick, Melbourne, is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead day-to-day operations for its November launch. You will oversee preparations, build and train the team, and establish service standards to ensure a strong start.

Lead a hands-on hospitality operation, recruit and manage staff, coordinate events, and maintain presentation, safety and cost controls while partnering with ownership to grow the business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in venue management or hospitality leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on, proactive approach and ability to perform under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Current Victorian RSA certification.
• Availability for evenings, weekends and the venue opening period.

Responsibilities

• Oversee venue preparations and operational readiness for the November launch.
• Manage day-to-day venue operations and deliver exceptional service.
• Recruit, lead, train and develop the hospitality team.
• Manage staff rostering, labour costs and shift planning.
• Coordinate functions, events and service operations.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and safety.
• Oversee stock control, ordering and operational costs.
• Create a positive team culture and lead by example.
• Ensure compliance with RSA requirements, workplace health and safety and relevant regulations.
• Work closely with ownership and management to establish and grow the business.
