Job summary

Insignia Financial in Hobart is seeking a Team Lead Systems Engineer to join our Technology I Infrastructure Services. This newly created role combines technical leadership with people leadership, coaching up to 10 engineers and contractors in a hands-on environment.

You will guide operations across Windows Server and Microsoft 365, manage ServiceNow queues and SLAs, and drive continuous improvement and automation. You’ll balance delivery with developing your team and shaping platform strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience leading infrastructure engineering teams in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Proven ability to manage incidents, tickets and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers to foster a high-performing culture.
• Oversee ServiceNow queues, ticket management, escalations and SLA performance.
• Drive operational excellence across Windows Server and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage vulnerability remediation, alert monitoring and platform health activities.
• Support Active Directory, Exchange, Entra ID and core infrastructure services.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, automation opportunities and operational uplift.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects, planning activities and technical solution design.
• Manage the team's on-call capability and coverage.
