Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking an Assistant Manager for Norfolk Tavern on the Gold Coast. You will lead a busy hospitality team, partner with venue leaders, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across bar, bistro and gaming spaces.

This hands-on role requires physical duties, a proactive mindset, and strong people skills to represent the pub when leadership is away. RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers licences are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on hospitality leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supervising in bar, bistro or gaming room.
• RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Publican to run pub during peak shifts, ensuring safety and great vibe.
• Mentor and lead an energetic hospitality team on the floor.
• Coordinate cross-departmental operations for a seamless guest experience.
• Handle issues and hiccups before they affect service.
• Drive energy, service and smiles across every shift.
