Job summary

Apprenticeships Are Us Limited invites applications for a 1st Year Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanic apprentice based in Mornington, VIC. This full-time, on-site role provides hands-on training under qualified technicians while you gain structured training toward a trade qualification.

You will assist with routine servicing, inspections and repairs on light vehicles, learn diagnostics, maintain a safe workshop, and document work performed as you progress through your apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Interest in automotive mechanics and a genuine desire to build a career in the light vehicle industry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with familiarity of hand tools and willingness to learn servicing and repair techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and adhere to workshop procedures and safety standards.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and capacity to work full time in an on-site workshop environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively within a diverse team.
• Completion of secondary schooling or equivalent; pre-apprenticeship in automotive or related field is an advantage.
• Willingness to undertake formal training through a Registered Training Organisation and keep up with coursework requirements.
• Current driver’s license or progress toward obtaining one is highly beneficial.
