Job summary

Truffleduck in Geelong is seeking a Kitchen Operations / Kitchen Hand to join our busy team. You will work closely with our chefs and events crew, performing hands-on kitchen tasks, food prep, service and customer-facing activities across a range of events.

This role offers variety, opportunities to contribute ideas, and the chance to learn from experienced kitchen professionals while being involved in the full event journey from prep to service.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, safe and highly organised kitchen environment.
• Washing and cleaning dishes, cookware, equipment and kitchen utensils.
• Ensuring clean equipment, utensils and supplies are returned to their appropriate storage locations.
• Receiving and managing deliveries, checking orders for accuracy and quantity.
• Identifying delivery discrepancies and ensuring chefs are promptly made aware of any issues.
• Assisting chefs with food preparation, production and kitchen duties.
• Supporting chefs during event service.
• Assisting with kitchen set-up and pack-down.
• Delivering food, equipment and supplies to event locations when required.
