AI Trading in Sydney, NSW, seeks a motivated Junior Technician for a full-time, hands-on role based on-site. This is not a help desk position; you’ll build practical skills end-to-end with cabling, fibre, networking and equipment.

You’ll learn from experienced technicians, perform on-site installations, testing and commissioning, and develop your abilities in communications infrastructure and connected systems.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in computers, networking and technology is essential.
• Practical and hands-on with basic tools.
• Comfortable with PC hardware and eager to learn networking.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with running and installing structured data and fibre cabling.
• Installing cable pathways and communications infrastructure.
• Terminating and testing data outlets, patch panels and cabling.
• Assisting with fibre optic cabling, termination and testing.
• Installing and fitting out communications cabinets.
• Installing network equipment, Wi‑Fi access points, and connected devices.
• Mounting CCTV cameras and other field devices.
• Assisting with electronic access control and audio visual systems.
• Testing cabling and installed equipment.
• Assisting with system testing and commissioning.
• Developing skills in equipment configuration, networking and fault finding.
• Learning to diagnose faults from the physical cabling layer through to the network and connected system.
