Job summary

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) seeks a capable Maintenance Officer to upkeep our Trentham facility and other campuses. The role involves hands-on maintenance of buildings, equipment, vehicles and outdoor areas to high standards.

Applicants should have handyman or trade-related experience, with a desirable trade qualification. You will work across CHRH sites, prioritise tasks, and contribute to safe, well-presented facilities for staff, residents, patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated handyman, maintenance or trade-related experience.
• A relevant trade qualification (desirable) or strong practical maintenance skills.
• Experience in gardening, grounds maintenance and facility upkeep.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• A current Victorian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, equipment, vehicles and outdoor areas to a high standard.
• Ensure facilities are safe, well-presented and compliant with health and safety policies.
• Attend to multiple sites as required, coordinating with team members.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist with scheduling and prioritising maintenance tasks.
