Guzman Y Gomez in Mildura, VIC is seeking a Shift Leader/Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You will lead a small team, ensure friendly and efficient service, and oversee daily food preparation aligned with GYG standards.

As the successful candidate you will maintain current knowledge of menu items, ingredients and procedures, handle cash and POS tasks, and support the Restaurant Manager to deliver remarkable Mexican dishes and experiences for every guest.

Formación

• Advanced English (non-native ok)
• RSA certificate

• Basic computer skills and POS/EFTPOS handling
• Understanding of Australian currency and loyalty cards

The Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, Shift Leaders are responsible for the ongoing delivery of pleasant and prompt service to customers, and the preparation of menu items according to the procedures and processes outlined by GYG. Shift Leaders are to maintain a complete knowledge of GYG menu items, ingredient and procedures at all times in order to proactively and promptly deliver high quality Mexican products.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Should Have/be

• Advanced English skills (if non-native)
• RSA certificate
• Ability to multitask and work in a really fast paced environment
• Basic computer skills and capability of learning Point of Sales and EFTPOS machine operation
• General understanding of Australian currency, payment methods and loyalty cards
• Outgoing and approachable personality
• Patience and eagerness to help customers
• Capability of maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work station
• Willingness to learn and a proactive, enthusiastic personality
• Good communication skills and great ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivated and "always moving" attitude

Previous experience in customer service or food preparation will be regarded but it is not essential. Having the right attitude is the key!
