Job summary

BMD Northcliffe Surf Club on the Gold Coast is seeking a friendly, reliable Reception and Member Services Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The role focuses on greeting members, assisting with enquiries, and processing memberships.

Shifts are across Thursdays to Sundays with morning and evening hours, and the candidate should be comfortable handling payments and coordinating bookings using Now Book It and SwiftPOS. A supportive hospitality environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role.
• Friendly and welcoming demeanour.
• Clear, professional communication in person and by phone.
• Maintain professional presentation and manners.
• Stay calm and prioritise when multiple customers require assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, punctual and discreet.
• Ability to work independently with ability to escalate to a manager when needed.
• Listen carefully and follow procedures and system instructions.
• Comfort with processing payments and handling personal information.
• Experience in hospitality or clubs is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake mandatory and on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet customers and thank them on departure.
• Assist members and guests with general enquiries.
• Process new memberships and renewals.
• Answer incoming calls and route enquiries.
• Make and update restaurant bookings via Now Book It.
• Enter and process takeaway orders through SwiftPOS.
• Monitor entrance and alert management to concerns.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area.
