Job summary

The Lane Retreat, a Mulpha-managed boutique destination in the Hunter Valley, seeks a casual Guest Services Attendant. Join a team delivering seamless guest experiences across mornings to late evenings and weekends.

Ideal candidates bring receptionist or front desk experience, PMS knowledge, and a passion for hospitality; RSA and a valid driver’s licence are essential. Flexible 15–25 hour weeks offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a receptionist or front desk role.
• PMS knowledge and end-of-day reconciliation experience.
• Strong customer service and communication, in person, phone and email.
• Computer literacy with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests in person, over the phone, and via email with a professional, friendly approach.
• Preparing guest arrivals, welcome cards, and amenities to a high standard.
• Assisting with dinner and wine tasting reservations at Bimbadgen and partner venues.
• Processing sales and making coffees in The Pantry.
• Handling check-outs, cash, and credit card transactions.
• Coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Staying up to date on The Lane Retreat and Bimbadgen offerings to assist guests and generate sales.

Job description

The Lane Retreat, located on one of Bimbadgen's award-winning vineyards, is one of the Hunter Valley's newest boutique accommodation destinations. Set across 15 hectares of vineyard and natural bushland, with uninterrupted views of the Broken Back Range, The Lane Retreat offers guests a premium yet relaxed wine country experience.

We're looking for a casual Guest Services Attendant to join our team. Flexible shifts with up to 15-25 hours per week available.

You'll play an important role in ensuring our guests feel genuinely cared for and provided with a seamless experience. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive wine and hospitality company and work in one of the region's most picturesque locations.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Welcoming guests in person, over the phone, and via email with a professional, friendly approach

Preparing guest arrivals, welcome cards, and amenities to a high standard

Assisting with dinner and wine tasting reservations at Bimbadgen and partner venues

Processing sales and making coffees in The Pantry

Handling check-outs, cash, and credit card transactions

Coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless guest experiences

Staying up to date on The Lane Retreat and Bimbadgen offerings to assist guests and generate sales

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Experience as a receptionist, hotel front office attendant, or similar
• Knowledge of PMS and end-of-day reconciliation processes
• Strong customer service and communication skills including in-person, telephone and email
• Computer literate and confident with Microsoft Word and Excel
• A passion for hospitality and making memorable guest experiences
• RSA and Driver's Licence essential
• Flexibility to work across mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays (roster covers 7am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday)
