Job summary

Bimbadgen, part of Mulpha, seeks an established leader to own the day-to-day operations of the Palmers Lane function space and head our Weddings & Events team in the Hunter Valley.

You will drive operational excellence, manage P&L, lead a passionate team, and deliver seamless guest experiences across weddings, corporate, retreats and social events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading weddings and events.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing teams.
• Financial acumen with P&L accountability and budgeting experience.
• Clear and effective communication across teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead Palmers Lane Weddings & Events team across operations and admin.
• Deliver revenue, expense and profit targets through P&L and purchasing management.
• Implement sales and marketing initiatives to grow the venue across markets.
• Enhance the venue offering to maximise value and guest experience.
• Build strong customer relationships to maximise satisfaction and loyalty.
• Coach and develop the team to strengthen engagement and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, licensing, consumer law and employment requirements.
• Implement health, safety and environmental controls to minimise risk.

We are seeking an established and passionate leader to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of Bimbadgen’s Palmers Lane function space. In this key role, you will lead our Weddings & Events team and drive operational excellence to deliver seamless, memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to;

• Lead the Palmers Lane Weddings & Events team across operational and administrative functions.
• Deliver revenue, expense and profit targets through effective P&L, workforce, purchasing, inventory and package management.
• Implement sales and marketing initiatives to grow the venue across corporate, retreat and social markets.
• Enhance the venue offering to maximise value, profitability and guest experience while reflecting market trends.
• Build strong customer relationships to maximise satisfaction, loyalty and repeat business.
• Coach and develop the team to strengthen engagement, performance and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS, liquor licensing, consumer law and employment requirements.
• Implement site-specific health, safety and environmental controls to eliminate or minimise risk.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Proven experience leading weddings and events.
• Passion for the Hunter Valley and positioning Bimbadgen as a leading special-events destination.
• Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing successful teams.
• Strong financial acumen, P&L accountability and annual budgeting experience.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to plan for and communicate strategic priorities.
• A collaborative and inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives and builds trust.
