Job summary

InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join a charming, internationally minded team that values exceptional guest experiences. You will welcome guests, assist with check-in/check-out, handle bookings and payments, and strive to exceed expectations with personalized recommendations.

Applicants with Front Office experience and/or Opera PMS knowledge will be highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Front Office position or with Opera (PMS) is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and guest-service orientation are essential.
• Ability to handle guest requests and payments efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and manage check-in/check-out processes.
• Identify and acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and regular guests.
• Handle bookings, payments, and guest inquiries with a confident, friendly approach.
• Provide tailored recommendations and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Be the trusted point of contact for guests throughout their stay.

• Kicking off truly memorable guest experiences with the warmest of welcomes.
• Acknowledging IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or over the phone.
• Taking, managing, and receiving payments for guest bookings.
• Making the check-in and check-out process feel swift and seamless.
• Staying one step of our guests' needs to anticipate requests and offer tailored recommendations.
• Being our guests' trusted contact - helping with everything from bill issues to restaurant recommendations.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience in a Front Office position or with Opera (PMS) is highly regarded.
• Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to.
• Your problem-solving skills will turn issues
