Job summary

The Sails Motel in Brunswick Heads seeks a motivated candidate to join our front desk and guest services team. The role covers check-in/check-out, reservations, and guest relations in a boutique setting. You will work weekends, weekdays and weeknights with rotating casual shifts.

A friendly, professional appearance, strong computer skills (preferably Mac), and a proactive attitude are essential. RSA certification is preferred, and you will help maintain reception, bar and pool areas while

• Front desk/front-of-house hospitality experience.

• Ability to work independently and calmly under pressure.
• Availability for weekend, weekday and weeknight shifts; rotating casual shifts.

Responsibilities

• Handle check-in and check-out for guests.
• Manage reservations by phone, email, and in person.
• Monitor inquiries via email and phone.
• Process deposits and payments; operate motel booking system.
• Support housekeeping with room inspections when needed.
• Maintain reception, bar, and pool areas and ensure guest satisfaction.

Job description

The Sails Motel is a recently renovated 22 room boutique motel located in the heart of Brunswick Heads.

We are seeking a motivated candidate to join our front desk and guest services team.

The applicant would require availability over weekends, weekdays and weeknights with flexibility on shifts.

As the first point of contact for The Sails you have the following qualities

Previous experience in front of house or hotel/motel hospitality

Initiative and a great attention to detail

Proficiency with computers, preferably mac

A well groomed and professional appearance

A positive focus with a passion for the hospitality industry

Confidence to work independently & without supervision

The ability to problem solve , multi task & remain calm and friendly under pressure

Preferred:

Availability for rotating casual shifts ranging from mid morning into early evenings with a flexible attitude

RSA

Duties include:

Guest relations including check in & check out

Reservations by phone, email & in person

Monitoring email inbox & phone enquiries

Processing deposits & payments and managing the motels booking system

Monitoring external and internal booking site's administrative and communication capabilities

Overseeing Housekeeping staff and daily room inspections and assisting cleaning team from time to time when required.

Provide good customer relations at all times

Maintaining reception, bar, & pool areas
