Job summary

Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking a Guest Service Generalist in Ballarat to deliver exceptional front office and food & beverage support.

You will welcome Owners and Guests, assist with check-ins/outs, inquiries, bookings and night audit tasks, while maintaining a proactive, courteous attitude throughout their stay. Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience, RSA and Food Safety certifications, strong communication skills, and a flexible availability across weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food and beverage, café, bar or hotel environment is desirable.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
• Current Food Safety Certificate.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and positive individual.
• Immaculate presentation and professional grooming standards.
• Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, mornings, evenings and school holiday period across a 7-day roster.
• Current drivers licence (preferable).

Responsibilities

• Food & Beverage functions such as preparing and serving Food & Beverages.
• Perform all duties of the front desk, including greeting owners and guests, Check in and out, Answer telephone and email inquiries, portage of luggage, cash handling and balancing procedures, tour & travel inquiries/bookings, reservations and night audit procedures.
• Possess a thorough knowledge of the operation of all administration equipment eg. Email, basic word & excel documentation and Credit Card settlement machines.

How You'll Shine

The Guest Service Generalist is responsible for completing daily Front Office & Food & Beverage functions. Ensuring that all Owners and Guests receive efficient and courteous service; making them feel welcome during their entire stay through a proactive and positive attitude. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
